Now that everyone should be done with exams, it's time to celebrate!

Where: Alan Gilbert, Theatres 3 and 4 (for the non-Melbourne Uni-ers, it's off the main campus, on the corner of Barry and Grattan St. There's a cafe outside).
When: 2nd of December, 10AM-5PM.

Bring handhelds and laptops if possible. We'll probably have Guitar Hero: World Tour in one room, hopefully an FPS, or probably Brawl in the other room. If you'd like to volunteer a console, post a comment in this thread, so we can get an idea of who is bringing what, and also avoid having 5 people bring their Wiis. >_<

There will be the standard drinks + snacks that we've had at our past SEE events, and if enough people are interested, maybe we can go LANning afterwards, or at least get dinner (*cough* 20 nuggets *cough*).

This is actually happening this time. We'll start at about 3:00, and the bracket will be double elimination. Each game will be best of 5 rounds, and the finals will be best of 3 games. Please participate even if you haven't played MBAC with us before, not knowing how to play is not an issue as we will have all varieties of skill levels present.

Welcome back from midsemester break guys! Now that uni has started again, so has our SEE meets!

The next two weeks aren't going to be in the usual place, make sure you make note and come to the proper place, or you might walk into a ... biology lecture, or something lame like that. Maybe even a psychology one! *gasps*

After a few issues reguarding the use of IRC and the forums the committee have decided on new rules for their use.

No sexually explicit material is to be allowed on the forums and on IRC.

This includes pictures of a sexual nature and/or discussions of a sexual nature.

Any material of this nature on the forums will result in the topic/post being deleted and the account banned from posting on the forums for an indefinite period of time.

Any material of this nature on IRC will result in the user being bankicked/kickbanned from IRC for an indefinite period of time.

If you wish to talk about materials of a sexual nature, go find somewhere else to do so.

These rules will be enforced for all members, executive and committee of the club. They have been put in place to prevent the possibility of any sexual harassment complaints occuring of which the committee would be held liable.

SEE Meeting, Dinner & Karaoke
Date: Tuesday July 29
Time: 2pm onwards
Location: Alan Gilbert Building, Theatre 4 + more

We'll be having our regular club meeting from 2pm to 5pm, then heading for dinner somewhere (to be decided on the day) before karaoke! This is another chance to be social and familiarise yourself with other club members. Unfortunately the club is not rich enough to pay for your dinner and karaoke, but it is awesome and fun anyway so you should come along. The more people we have for karaoke the cheaper it is, too. (And it's Asian-style private rooms so you don't have to worry about random people hearing you sing, only your friendly SEEmates who will tease you about it for the rest of your uni life.) You can come to just part of this too, of course - email us if you want a mobile phone number. (But of course you have to come to karaoke.)
